Welcome to Tradu-Line! We provide translation and proofreading services to both private and corporate customers.

What language services do we offer?

Translation Our range of services includes translation from French, German and Luxembourgish to German and Luxembourgish (except for technical, juridical and medical content). Each translation from the source to the target language is carried out with due regard to the content, structure and style as well as to the text statement. Please note that we cannot deliver certified translations.

Proofreading covers German and Luxembourgish documents in particular. This service involves the revision of the source text regarding linguistics and style, such as spelling, grammar, punctuation, typography, syntax and vocabulary. The review of your documents by a qualified native speaker guarantees the high quality of the edited text.

Transcription Accurately convert your German or Luxembourgish audio to text. According to Dresing and Pehl rules, we provide transcripts of your videoconferences, interviews, seminars, etc. Fast and reliable delivery is guaranteed. Depending on your needs (f. ex. scientific purposes or personal use) you can choose between a verbatim (message is transcribed exactly the way it has been spoken) and an edited transcription (meaning or speaker’s intention remain unchanged).

How to submit a document?

Every document can be submitted via email in doc, pdf, mp3 or m4a format. For each order please provide the following information:

• number of words of the source text,
• text type (f. ex. brochure, resume, article…),
• terminology or domain (f. ex. administration, tourism, marketing…),
• desired delivery date.

Feel free to join any additional explanations to assist us in revising your document.

What are the deadlines?

We will process every order once we have accepted it. However, for 40 standard pages, you should calculate at least 3 business days for proofreading and 6 business days for a completed translation. The deadline depends on our respective workload and, very obviously, on the text length.

About me

Dealing with different languages in the context of a professional activity means more to a linguist than just actively taking part in a conversation. Typically, he has been confronted to his working tool for the major part of his life, at the same time, comes with necessary qualification and takes the opportunity for professional development.

As a native of Luxembourg and due to my German studies at the University of Trier (D) as well as to my premature interest in the German way of life, I have an equivalent command of both languages, Luxembourgish and German. After having taught these two languages in Luxembourg for twelve years, I relocated to France to work as a translator/proofreader. Since 1st January 2019 my micro-business is registered in the Company and Business Register (SIRENE) in France.

Besides French, which in Luxembourg is taught from second grade, I’ve been keenly interested in English from my early youth. Following this curiosity in languages, I took up my studies in English language and literature. Due to my time at Liverpool John Moores University (GB) and several other stays abroad, I got more closely acquainted with the English speaking world. As quality is not a by-product of chance, I am working in close cooperation with professional and experimented native translators for French and English.

My latest projects include translations of essays and other publications, corrections of doctoral, master and bachelor theses, transcriptions in various fields as well as editorial contributions for the tourist sector. Central components of my work philosophy are accuracy, reliability and discretion.
